Ian Snider, CEO

Ian is an accomplished small business owner with over 25 years of fire sprinkler industry experience. With a career that spans installation, design, sales & estimating and management he leads Crawford Sprinkler management team. He holds a degree in Fire Protection Engineering Technology from Algonquin College and is NICET Level III Certified Water Based Fire Protection Systems Layout. Ian is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Georgia as a Fire Sprinkler Installation Contractor.

Brian Crawford, President

Brian, a native New Englander, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from Eastern Kentucky University. He joined Crawford Sprinkler in 2001 as a fire sprinkler system layout technician. During his tenure at Crawford, Brian has held the responsibility of managing the engineering department, progressed into sales and estimating and was named company President in 2018. Brian is NICET Level III certified in Water Based Fire Protection Systems Layout and Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems. He holds licenses as a North Carolina Fire Sprinkler Installation Contractor, Fire Sprinkler Inspection Contractor and in Fire Alarm / Low Voltage by the North Carolina Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors.

Ricky Knuckles, Vice President

Ricky joined Crawford Sprinkler in 1990 as fire sprinkler helper. His career at Crawford has spanned from an entry level helper progressing through the field installation ranks of Fitter, Foreman, Construction Superintendent, Operations Manager to Sales and Estimating and Vice President. Ricky is NICET Level II certified in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems.

Matt Johnson, Vice President

Matt started his career in fire protection in 1997 by joining the family business where he worked in various roles from fabrication to installation and design. In 2001 he relocated to Raleigh to work for a national fire protection contractor. From there, Matt worked his way up from a layout design technician to sales & estimating and project management. In 2018 he joined Crawford Sprinkler as Vice President. Matt is NICET Level III certified in Water Based Fire Protection Systems Layout and is licensed as a North Carolina Fire Sprinkler Installation Contractor.
